We very much enjoyed our stay at Powell Place. Location was great!! The unit was clean & had everything we needed. Everyone was very helpful especially the guy who checked us in. Their map is very informative with points of interest as well as the bus routes. It is a bit noisy with the cable cars but that did not bother us too much as we were tired after exploring all day!!

This resort was quiet, clean and comfortable, and close to everything especially public transportation. Ours was a a very good experience.

Nice place, older, could use some air fresheners. No AC, one portable fan, one ceiling fan. Small refrigerator. Close to most things you want to see or do. No on property parking. Valet parking available at a cost, probably a good investment. Morning newspaper is a nice surprise.

Enjoyed the lovely home at Powell Place and the helpful
Staff. The steep hills were a challenge. It would help to provide a limited list of services, dining places closeby.

A very quaint one bedroom suite in a great location directly opposite the cable car. Within walking distance of Union Square and (if you enjoy walking and don’t mind sizeable hills) the Financial District, Pier 39 and North Beach, etc. Great welcoming staff and a sense of feeling safe and secure in this nice area. Would definitely stay here again.

Very convenient location to walk to most of the places in San Francisco. Very friendly staff and clean place to stay. only issue is the parking if you have a car.

went to a medical meeting in san Francisco at the moscone center - the annual meeting of the American society of hematology - powell place was within walking distance - the unit was nice - I spent little time there except to sleep, shave and shower

We liked the bay window with a view of the city. We had the cable car line across the street and an intersection with two cable cars nearby. It was awesome. We appreciated the full kitchen and full oven. It was a well equipped kitchen. Having a tub and shower was great. Thank you.

great unit on the 20th floor.
We had nice coffee maker in the room and we were supplied with coffee, tea and bottled water every day. Great comfortable bed and the bathroom was also very nice. Nicest bathrobe provided.

The location is good if you can navigate the Powell St. hill. We were assigned to the 3rd floor on the side of the hotel without an elevator. You needed to be in shape to manage the stairs several times a day.

Front desk people are so helpful with best routes and places to go. All the conveniences in the kitchen were more than we needed but we used them all as we like to cook most of our own meals. Loved the location of Powell Place so very convenient to everything especially the Cable Car.

Great location with easy access to public transportation, activities and areas we wanted to visit. The people at the front desk were great with tips on local travel. We enjoyed our room with some minor exceptions noted below. We would come back to Powell Place again providing we can have room 105 away from the elevator.

Units are elegant with high ceilings, great wood trim and interesting features (ie. bay window). They left a rose on the first day, 2 chocolates and a newspaper every day. The decor is elegant.

We were given a unit with the ground floor patio area. Very nice to have that available. Daily maid service. Reasonable weekly internet charge of $20. No energy surcharge, presumably for SFX guests only.

We loved everything about our stay at Powell Place. The location was perfect. Close to transportation, shopping, and within walking distance to so many of the local attractions. The place itself was very clean, and the staff very helpful. They answered all our questions, and we had many. The room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. Right on the cable car line. Short walk to bus/train.
Very nice little 1 BR. Kitchen was small, but very well stocked for our cooking needs (made 4 dinner & 3 Breakfast). Best place I have stayed in 5 plus SF trips.

The room was always sparkling clean. We were very impressed with the turn-down service that was provided. The fresh rose upon arrival was a very nice touch. It was as if my husband and I moved to San Francisco for a week and Powell Place was our new home.
