Palm Beach Shores Resort is a charming place right on the beach with a nice restaurant, Tiki bar, and swimming area. Although it comes off as a bit dated, the facilities are clean and well maintained. It is within walking distance of several restaurants and some shopping opportunities as well. We agreed to hear a sales pitch for their time share club, and they weren't as pushy as some. We weren't interested in that commitment but, it was nice to learn more about the resort and the area. It was the pool policy and the overpriced beach lounges that would have been not just a game changer, but a game ender for me. This resort doesn't supply beach lounge chairs for its guest, they rent them out for around $60 a day. Imagine that. Also, when looking for sun, there were no lounge chairs available in the area of the pool that was actually in the sun. I was subsequently scolded when I wanted to move a light plastic empty chair about 15 feet from the shade to a sunny spot. Unfortunately, the sun is limited due to the resort building being wrapped around the pool area and is about 6 or 7 stories high. I'm certain most of the pool chairs are taken because of the high cost of renting beach lounges. The policy of not moving the pool lounges appears to be simply geared to pushing people to pay for the beach lounges. This is unconscionable. And it would preclude me from investing in this resort.
