The hotel is amazing! Great pools everywhere, lot of dining options and events throughout the week.
We werent able to get the SFX gift mentioned, asked the conierge and the front desk without luck.

Our recent stay at The Grand Bliss Nuevo Vallarta was less than spectacular. I have stayed at other Vidanta properties and hotels, and by comparing those to our most recent trip, The Grand Bliss Nuevo Vallarta ranks on the lower end. Upon check-in we were told that our room would be ready shorty, but after several delays, our room was finally ready after 5:00pm. This would not be an issue, as I recognize that 5:00pm is the check-in time, but we were told half a dozen times, between 1:00pm and 5:00pm, that our room would be ready within the hour or half hour. We were also told, immediately after checking in and signing up for a sales presentation, that our decision to participate in the sales presentation or not would be a factor in the speed that room was ready, the floor that it was on, and the direction it faced. Even after agreeing to participate in the sale presentation, our room was on the 5th floor, faced away from the ocean, and was not ready any earlier. Our room was extremely loud due to the the hallway traffic outside the door and the construction going on in the unit next door, the A/C barely worked in the room and struggled all week to maintain a comfortable temperature, our room was supposed to have a king sized bed, but we were given two full sized beds, and the tub was mostly useless as it took 30 minutes to fill and the jets sprayed six feet up onto the wall. We were promised a few other perks for signing up for the sales presentation, that included a discount at the spa, 10% off our final food and drink bill, a $500 flight voucher each, and discounted week to use in the future. The spa was able to beat the prices we were offered, we had to remind the desk clerk about the food/drink discount at check-out, the flight voucher is half of what were told, and the discounted week, which is hardly discounted, is so complicated and conditional to claim that it probably isn't worth the time or risk. The sales presentation was mostly fine, but became very hostile/threatening at the end, after our initial refusal. We were passed around to different salesmen as we tried to exit the presentation, and honestly we felt trapped. It was supposed to take roughly an hour, but took well over three. I finally had to say that they needed to release us and let us return to our vacation. I will never participate in another presentation again. I'm not typically one to complain and we did have some really good times, but it just didn't stack up against other Vidanta vacations we've taken.

Once we FINALLY got to our room, the rest of the week was awesome. They put way too much pressure on sales presentations. We had to state many times that we weren't interested and just wanted to get to our room .
Service was outstanding, resort very huge and a little confusing to get around. Most employees don't speak English, so communication on directions, etc. was useless. Getting off the resort was tricky, but possible.

Beauiful resort, but was way too big for us and too far from town. (personal preference). We had issues with medicine being taken from our luggage which I was required to place a written report, but heard from no one from the resort. Just an example how customer service gets lost when resorts are too large.

Apart from a lack of hot water (admittedly corrected the night before our departure ) ; the non functioning TV and the extraordinarily high prices for the marketplace, it’s a lovely property. We could do without the 1/2 “timeshare” pitch but the breakfast was very good.

We had wonderful stay at the Grand Bliss! Great amenities and stellar staff. Check in does take super long as they want you to sign up for their presentation if you’re not already a member. We said no to all the “free” things as nothing is free and we wanted to protect our time. Just be up front and honest with the representatives :)

Beautiful well maintained resort. We hope to go back! Wasn’t sure about staying at a place that wasn’t all inclusive but there was a ton of choices and there were daily drink specials at the pool so we ended up liking it better than an all inclusive. The food was definitely better quality.
Everyone was very friendly but there were some standouts. Bell Hop - Christopher, Mario at Cafe DeLago and Hector for poolside games. These 3 men were very friendly and seemed to love their jobs! Exceptional service from them.

The Vidanta Resort is amazing. The Grand Bliss is a very nice building to stay in. We were treated like royalty and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We really enjoyed our visits and hospitality showed to us by Christopher at the Grand Bliss Bar. Everyone was wonderful to us!

Huge resort complex, spectacular! From the beach to the endless pools and restaurants. We were 12 people, all ages, and had a great time. The service is excellent. Taxi to the city is ~ $20 for 4 people, ~$25 for 8.
It is easier to walk around from the Grand Bliss. The Grand Luxx is higher standard but longer walks.
This place is heaven. Highly recommended!
