Daily amenity fee covered daily housekeeping even though we did not use it"

Everything in the suite and in the resort is kept in top notch condition. We had daily maid service including towel change. The location just a few blocks north of the Malecon in Puerto Vallarta makes it so easy to walk to many restaurants, clubs, shops, etc. We hope to be back next year."

I had requested an updated room, but we got an old one.The biggest issue is that the resort plays very loud music until midnight almost every night. Very loud and keeps guests awake at night. Also this time, the wait staff around the pool only seemed to take care of their favorites (people who stayed multiple weeks). Every time we wanted service, we had to go to the bar area and request service."

- Carol B."This resort is in an ideal location for enjoying downtown Puerto Vallarta. A 5 minute walk puts you on the Main Street with access to local restaurants, music and a variety of stores. There is a grocery store 10 minutes away, which makes light meals and snacks easy to prepare in the well outfitted kitchen. Ocean views are beautiful. Great choice for a casual vacation."

- William B."We were in a building that has not been renovated (C) so other buildings may be much improved. It was poorly maintained but when we asked for things to be fixed, they were. The balcony was dirty, but it was cleaned, and dirty furniture replaced. The seal around the bathtub/shower door was broken - when it was pointed out then it was fixed. The curtains would not stay on the curtain rail - so housekeeping staff put them back when they cleaned the room. We had a big argument with maintenance when a glass coffee carafe shattered while we were making coffee. They wanted us to pay for the carafe. Finally though the manager realized that it was an electrical (heat) problem in the base, which was probably overheating. The restaurants were good. The staff overall were great. The beach is not swimmable for most people. The pools are good. One noisy family pool and one quiet one. We will not go back there. "

The pool situation was interesting because if you did not take towels down at 6:30 a.m. to reserve the lounges there were none available later in the morning. The presentation went way to long and way over 90 minutes. Fernando and David were nice and the breakfast was great but when you tell someone the presentation is only 90 minutes that needs honored. The incentives for the presentation were good. The massages were great. The only other draw back was no sandy beach right in front of the resort. The sunsets were fantastic! "

If you didn't buy the all inclusive package (which was well beyond our budget) you had to shell out some SERIOUS cash. The on site buffet was in excess of $50US per person. Ouch!!! Frustrating that you can't purchase just an all inclusive food package. For us that don't drink spirits, you still have to pay for the package that includes them. For us, we won't be returning to Mexico for many years."

The desk and housekeeping services were top notch. The pool, hot tub, and related facilities were also excellent. There was a small leak in the bathroom from a toilet. I called about it and it was quickly repaired There were mosquitoes in the room fairly frequently. We requested fumigation which they did fairly quickly. The problem was much better after. "

- William B."Non owners are given the worst rooms. Their goal is to encourage you to buy in. Our room was 2 studios on the only floor that hasn’t been renovated. What rooms will be like after renovations I have no idea. The pools are great. Staff is very nice. Rest of public spaces are lovely. "

We go down around 8a and all prime locations are taken AND guests don't even show up until late afternoon. There was one guest who had their spot reserved when we got to the pool at 8a and they came, took their towels, and left at 2pm, so that spot was not being used. "

They first put us in a room that was moldy and full of mildew and was only on the 2nd floor and had a view of the pool. Would not reassign until the following day. We ended up in the same old building 1 floor up but no view of the pool or ocean. We both got sick there so not a lot of time to enjoy the facility. The timeshare presentation was just ok. Breakfast wasn't that great and the guys were pretty aggressive and, except for the first one, were not very personable. Was not impressed with the televisions or the cable service. Many channels fuzzy and/or with crachly sound. Internet was great though. All of the staff were very friendly and their English was good. "

The pool area was amazing and the service around the pool and food was outstanding. The all inclusive food service was pretty good, the only negative thing , was required to walk in person daily to make reservations on specialty restaurants instead of a simple phone call. The location its very convenient to the airport and proximity to downtown. Its a timeshare resort combine with the Sheraton Convention Center."

One negative if feedback is given to resort, is that they often have cabs dropping people at the wrong spot. The Hotel and Resort are two properties side by side. - Robert B."We stayed in a 2 bedroom and it was updated. Another family member stayed in a two bedroom that was not updated. Only the updated units are good for six people. The not updated units barely accommodate four people. The resort workers are nice, but the resort staff at the front desk, and at the restaurants invariably would say no for any request. The concierge was polite and helpful at the main hotel. I like the size of the resort. Spa services were good but expensive. The all inclusive deal we got by listening to the timeshare presentation made things convenient as we did not have to cook. However, the Asian restaurant and Sunday brunch were not included in the all inclusive. Restaurant choices are limited. We had to wake up at 8 AM and go in person to the concierge to book for dinner that night. I would say making these dinner reservations was one of the most difficult tasks at the hotel. If you did not make a reservation, the answer if you walked up to one of the restaurants was NO. The pool was nice. The hot tub seem to have either pollen or dead skin cells. Poolside service for food and drinks was really nice. Thanksgiving fiesta was very fun. Though our room was right on the edge of the resort and the public beach, I felt safe. Walking to Puerto Vallarta town was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it. "

We had forgotten that we had been on the same tour two years ago which we purchased from the Mayan Palace, where we were members. But we saw twice as much on this tour (it was a different tour company). We really got our money's worth!"

- David L."most impressive for us is just the diversity and quantity of sealife around Puerto Vallarta. We watched dozens of manta rays jumping for about 20 minutes, we saw dolphins every day, humpback whales breaching...all from our hotel beach. In addition turtles were hatching literally under our beach chairs, a mother turtle was laying eggs..very amazing."

The public areas and restaurants and pool were all very lovely and we could walk into downtown Puerto Vallarta. I will return to this resort and thank Nathan for recommending it to me!!"

She tried right away to push discounts on us if we sign up to take a tour. We were exhausted from our travel and were in NO mood to be pushed so soon. The food was excellent, but the overall friendliness of the staff was not overly welcoming. I spoke first to others before any employee would speak to me. We had a 2 bedroom unit and the first bedroom with 2 double beds had a sewer smell in it. Maintenance attempted to fix it by sealing a hole in the wall somewhere. While the smell was less obvious, it still smelled. The acitivies director was superb. High energy and very engaging."
