The resort is beautiful. Our room was large and well appointed.
However, The hot water supply is pathetic and seriously wasteful. It took 20 minutes to get hot water for a shower. once you had hot water, it was nice and hot. But if you left it off for a short time, you had to waste more water to get it hot again! I explained this to several people at the front desk, and they seemed to take it seriously. They should also mount a work light above the kitchen sink.

Overall, I really enjoyed the Grand Mayan. San Jose was a really good location for our family - easy to get to Mega, nice to be able to walk to restaurants and coffee across the street, staff was incredibly friendly, nice pool, quality of food was good, etc.

We very much enjoy our stays at the Grand Mayan. It is a short walk into San Jose del Cabo and there are always many things to do and places to visit. The resort staff are always very pleasant and appreciative of their guests. The facility is well maintained.

We appreciated the easy walk in to San Jose and all the restaurants and stores to explore. We thoroughly enjoyed the "Art Walk" on Thursdays and being there with the whole family for Mother's Day in Mexico. Our son had a great time panga fishing with Gordon Banks pangas and roosterfish fishing. A local bar/restaurant cooked a red snapper that night and the whole meal was done to perfection.
We are planning a return trip next year with additional family members.

Due to a last minute health issue, we were unable to use our reservation. We notified the resort only hours before check in and our guests were treated very well by the resort, they had no issues checking in at all and loved the resort.

Mexican Fiesta night had great food and great entertainment. The CaboRey sunset dinner cruise was awesome. The proximity to downtown San Jose Del Cabo was a real plus for this resort.
