Days by the the pool with cocktails and evenings in town is very easy.

My stay was really good. The staff was friendly and very professional. The resort was comfortable and had plenty of activities to keep you engaged. I loved the proximity to shops and local food. I felt safe walking around the city. It is on the top of my list for places I would visit again.

Beautiful resort, great people, nice pools! The only draw back is the cost for eating at the resort. If you didn't buy the all inclusive package (which was well beyond our budget) you had to shell out some SERIOUS cash. The on site buffet was in excess of $50US per person. Ouch!!! Frustrating that you can't purchase just an all inclusive food package. For us that don't drink spirits, you still have to pay for the package that includes them. For us, we won't be returning to Mexico for many years.

The Sheraton is a lovely facility. It is well kept, attractive, and comfortable. The room was nicely appointed and very clean. The bed and pillows were excellent. The desk and housekeeping services were top notch. The pool, hot tub, and related facilities were also excellent.
There was a small leak in the bathroom from a toilet. I called about it and it was quickly repaired
There were mosquitoes in the room fairly frequently. We requested fumigation which they did fairly quickly. The problem was much better after.

We love the very roomy suite that was assigned to us. It was convenient to be able to walk right down the stairs to the pool! All the workers were friendly and I love the water aerobics class and the 2 PM food and drink demos! What a bonus! Location is perfect for touring Puerto Vallarta! Thank you, Sfx!

The resort has upgraded its lobby and reception area since I last stayed here. Rooms are still old, but well maintained, and maintenance responded to the 3 or 4 issues that arose while I was there. It's a great location, one can walk to Centro and the Old City. Staff is friendly.

Resort was beautiful! It is located within walking distance to the Puerto Vallarta malecon. I enjoyed the water aerobics every day and the special food and drink demos with free servings! Our room was 2 studios on the only floor that hasn’t been renovated. What rooms will be like after renovations I have no idea.
The pools are great. Staff is very nice.

Very good BUT it is very inconvenient when people go to the pool very early in the morning and "reserve" prime locations at the pool. We go down around 8a and all prime locations are taken AND guests don't even show up until late afternoon. There was one guest who had their spot reserved when we got to the pool at 8a and they came, took their towels, and left at 2pm, so that spot was not being used.

Overall just ok. Little communication at checkin, no information in the rooms about the resort. Very old but clean rooms, tub/shower dangerous to get in and out of due to how high the entry is. Terrible drinks at the pool bar, had to just stick to beer or water. Would not go again unless it was very cheap.

Great location with easy 30 minute walk to the Malecon area and many restaurants. Rooms are clean, quiet, and have daily housekeeping. The grounds and pool are fabulous with plenty of chairs. Great doa, restaurants and sports bar all right there. Very enjoyable two week stay.

Nice lobby, pools, beautiful grounds. The rooms in the older part of the resort are needing updated but are comfortable and clean. Disappointed that the room had no balcony, just a sliding window.
Reserving of chairs was beyond ridiculous. If you wanted an area at the pool that offered shade, be prepared to place your towels on the loungers before 5 am, some people reserved chairs earlier.

Great location - room was clean and functional. Cleaning staff very good and pleasant. Overall a very nice resort. The cons were the resort food was poor and the gym could have more free weights and other small but useful exercise equipment - there is enough room if the layout of the larger equipment is reorganized. We would stay there again if given the opportunity to do so.

Overall not bad but the biggest negative was the assignment of rooms. They first put us in a room that was moldy and full of mildew and was only on the 2nd floor and had a view of the pool. Would not reassign until the following day. We ended up in the same old building 1 floor up but no view of the pool or ocean. We both got sick there so not a lot of time to enjoy the facility. The timeshare presentation was just ok. Breakfast wasn't that great and the guys were pretty aggressive and, except for the first one, were not very personable. Was not impressed with the televisions or the cable service. Many channels fuzzy and/or with crachly sound. Internet was great though. All of the staff were very friendly and their English was good.

The buganvillias vacation club resort was above average, the room we were assigned was an older room that need it some upgrades. The pool area was amazing and the service around the pool and food was outstanding. The all inclusive food service was pretty good, the only negative thing , was required to walk in person daily to make reservations on specialty restaurants instead of a simple phone call. The location its very convenient to the airport and proximity to downtown. Its a timeshare resort combine with the Sheraton Convention Center.

I loved the resort. Room was great. Grounds beautiful. First resort I have been to that there was not nightly entertainment. All in all though I thoroughly enjoyed this facility. One negative if feedback is given to resort, is that they often have cabs dropping people at the wrong spot. The Hotel and Resort are two properties side by side. Check-in was quick and easy. Room located on second floor so no need to wait for elevator. Room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Kitchen was adequately furnished with good sized refrigerator. We stayed in a 2 bedroom and it was updated. Another family member stayed in a two bedroom that was not updated. Only the updated units are good for six people. The not updated units barely accommodate four people. The resort workers are nice, but the resort staff at the front desk, and at the restaurants invariably would say no for any request. The concierge was polite and helpful at the main hotel.
I like the size of the resort. Spa services were good but expensive. The all inclusive deal we got by listening to the timeshare presentation made things convenient as we did not have to cook. However, the Asian restaurant and Sunday brunch were not included in the all inclusive. Restaurant choices are limited. We had to wake up at 8 AM and go in person to the concierge to book for dinner that night. I would say making these dinner reservations was one of the most difficult tasks at the hotel. If you did not make a reservation, the answer if you walked up to one of the restaurants was NO.
The pool was nice. The hot tub seem to have either pollen or dead skin cells. Poolside service for food and drinks was really nice. Thanksgiving fiesta was very fun.
Though our room was right on the edge of the resort and the public beach, I felt safe. Walking to Puerto Vallarta town was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it.

My daughter got the flu and then my husband who needed medical attention. The doctor came to our room and prescribed medication and electrolytes and he we better 8 hours later. The doctor made a follow up call to see how he was. It was not something they ate or drank as they were sick about 5 days apart.

The resort itself is awesome. The beach out front of the resort was very rocky and lots of trash (some of the trash was due to the next resort not being open). Pools are awesome, food was good, room service was excellent. Vallarta Adventure tours were great. Beautiful sunsets. Lots to do on the boardwalk which you could walk to from the resort.

most impressive for us is just the diversity and quantity of sealife around Puerto Vallarta. We watched dozens of manta rays jumping for about 20 minutes, we saw dolphins every day, humpback whales breaching...all from our hotel beach. In addition turtles were hatching literally under our beach chairs, a mother turtle was laying eggs..very amazing.

Received a wonderful ocean front room. The resort has two enormous amazing pools, large Jacuzzi, several restaurants, swim up bar in one pool, and beautiful grounds. The beach is not really for swimming since it is pebbles, but there are near by beaches. Easy walking distance to downtown Puerto Vallarta, old town, and the Malecon.

The city tour and jungle tour were enjoyed by ourselves and our visitors that we had for the week. This was their first time in Puerto Vallarta and they enjoyed the resort, its accommodations and its locality to the center of town.

This resort had 4 tennis courts and a pro. My husband is a National champion so he was delighted that there were locals and visitors of his caliber to play. The resort is smaller and more friendly than some of the bigger resorts. We would definitely stay at this resort again.

Another SFX client was checking out at same time and was livid .Her 1 bedroom did not have ocean view or the computer port she was promised.We saw 1 bedroom unit -interior bedroom did not have an exterior window and No balcony. Very dark and not at all equal to Mayan Palaces trade

We had a beautiful 2-bedroom corner unit. It had a full kitchen, a separate dining area, two bathrooms with wonderful showers and tubs, a living room with double couches, 3 flat screen TV's with lots of channels, and a beautiful wrap-around balcony facing the ocean and downtown Puerto Vallarta.

We paid for an upgrade and had a unit 30 feet from the ocean on the ground floor with an outdoor patio -- it was heaven. The public areas and restaurants and pool were all very lovely and we could walk into downtown Puerto Vallarta. I will return to this resort and thank Nathan for recommending it to me!!

The check-in was not very welcoming. Once we received our room key we were directed to a sales representative in the lobby. She tried right away to push discounts on us if we sign up to take a tour. We were exhausted from our travel and were in NO mood to be pushed so soon. The food was excellent, but the overall friendliness of the staff was not overly welcoming. I spoke first to others before any employee would speak to me. We had a 2 bedroom unit and the first bedroom with 2 double beds had a sewer smell in it. Maintenance attempted to fix it by sealing a hole in the wall somewhere. While the smell was less obvious, it still smelled. The acitivies director was superb. High energy and very engaging.
